Fall Family Photos in Stilwell, Kansas | Family Photographer

I have so much to say about this session I don’t know where to begin! This flower field was the perfect setting for their photos and it might be one of my new favorite locations. (Shout out to the hubs for helping me find it!) Once we arrived we discovered we had a good friend in common. Turns out this good friend is also son’s godmother! Small world! This family is sweet and snuggly with each other and they were all too adorable for words. Evening sessions can often be hard for younger children because it’s close to bedtime but they all did a great job helping to keep each other entertained and engaged. After our session Missy told me her oldest son told her he didn’t know family photos could be so fun. (Excuse me while I do a little happy dance!!) Mission. Accomplished.

And to think I was so worried I would have to reschedule this session. Thank you baby for holding off and not coming too early! I would have missed out on meeting this sweet family.

Apple Orchard Family Session | Kansas City Family Photographer

I see this family every year to update their family photos and was so happy I was able to squeeze them in for our apple orchard sessions and before I went on maternity leave. Just for fun I went back to look at the photos from my very first session with them. It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago but they have grown up so much! The apple orchard was a fun new setting for their yearly family photos!

My first year of apple orchard mini sessions are done! The evening light was gorgeous for fall family photos and I’m so excited to deliver these families their galleries! I’m definitely planning on offering these again next fall as well as adding spring and summer mini session dates and locations to the calendar.

Downtown Kansas City | Faith's Senior Pictures

I feel like i’m fan girling a little bit over Faith’s senior pictures. I love everything about her session…the location, the lighting, her outfits, her hair, her personality. Ugh! It was all so good! Downtown Kansas City is always one of my favorite locations for senior sessions. I always love getting to hear from each senior during their session about what they hope for out of their senior year and what they want to do after. Senior year looks a little different this year for the class of 2021. I hope that despite the weirdness of this year Faith and all my other high school seniors are able to still enjoy it even if it looks completely different than anything we’ve ever seen before.

Family Photos at Shawnee Mission Park | The Ellsworth Family

I met this sweet family a few years ago when I took Ryan’s high school senior photos in downtown Kansas City. We had to reschedule this session a few different times and we were finally able to find a date where Ryan would be home from college. The date we rescheduled to turned out to me so much better as far as the weather goes. It cooled down quite a bit for the evening compared to the last few days we had been having. It was a treat to have the newest little member of their family, Milo, join us for a few photos.
