I’ve photographed this family since he was young, and now I get to photograph this next chapter of his life. There’s something pretty special about watching a kid grow up through the lens of my camera and then getting to document such an important milestone.

Senior year goes by quickly, and senior pictures are about more than just having a great photo for the yearbook. They’re a way to remember who they were at this exact moment—what they loved, what made them laugh, and the things that made this season uniquely theirs. Photoshoots with cars can be tricky since it’s such a BIG prop but I think we were able to crush this session!

KC Senior | Greenhouse + Lake Session

A greenhouse session has been on my photography bucket list for SO LONG. I finally found a high school senior looking for greenhouse vibes for her senior session. After some planning we were able to help incorporate some of the things she was wanting for her session. The boats on the dock at the lake were an added bonus that I think really gave us some stunning photos for Aleeya.

Board Game Cafe + Pickleball Adventure Session | Kansas City Engagement Photos

I absolutely love when couples or families are up for trying something different for their session! This couple had one of their first dates at a board game cafe in Overland Park, KS and I loved that they threw out the idea of using the cafe as a location for their engagement photos. I also knew that they enjoy spending time together on the pickleball courts so I threw out the idea for that to be the secondary location for their session. I am in love with how those turned out!

This session is a great example of what my Out of the Box session package would look like. Taking an activity or a location that you love and turning it into a session is an incredibly unique and memorable way to document that stage or time of your life.

Downtown Kansas City Senior Photos | High School Senior Photographer

Jay is my nephew came all the way from Syracuse, Kansas to Kansas City for his senior pictures. I’ve had a handful of seniors travel for their senior photos and I’m always extremely flattered that they would travel that far. I spent and afternoon scouting some spots we could use in downtown Kansas City for Jay’s senior pictures. A couple of these spots we just happened upon during his session which is always a fun little bonus.

Jay plays football and basketball so I really tried to find some cool spots to get senior football photos and senior basketball photos. I especially love how it looks against a city or downtown backdrop. Thanks for asking me to take your senior pictures Jay!

Outdoor Family Pictures | Olathe Family Photographer

A sweet outdoor family session to document the arrival of their baby boy. Not all newborn sessions have to be in-home. I work with each family to choose a session that is best for their needs and for this family it was an outdoor session for a beautiful evening at the park. We also had to get creative with this active toddler which is totally normal for this age! I always come prepared with games and ideas to help keep them engaged and entertained. As you can see below his busyness did not stop us from getting som beautiful and sweet moments captured for their family.
