Mommy and Me Apple Orchard Session | Kansas City Family Photographer

The sweet momma and her darling little boy met me out at the apple orchards for a quick mini session. She helped me kick off my apple orchard sessions for the evening and it was so fun starting the evening off with a session for a friend. This little guy is such a dapper dan man with his suspenders and his little shoes! I couldn’t have asked for a better model for this little Mommy and Me session. He was so serious throughout our time together but we were able to sneak a few smiles and laughs out of him.

My first year of apple orchard mini sessions are done! The evening light was gorgeous for fall family photos and I’m so excited to deliver these families their galleries! I’m definitely planning on offering these again next fall as well as adding spring and summer mini session dates and locations to the calendar.

In-Home Newborn Session

It’s a boy!! I love it when I am able to do maternity and newborn sessions for people. It’s exciting getting to be a part of a couple or families journey right before they meet their little one. I was eagerly awaiting news from Robyn knowing we were getting close to her due date.

Robyn and Nathan set up the nursery with an adorable Hundred Acre Woods and Winnie the Pooh theme for the little guy to come home to.

In-Home Family Session | Kansas City Photographer

The more I do in-home sessions the more I love the different side you get to see of families. I’ve noticed that everyone seems to be more comfortable in front of a camera when they are in a comfortable and familiar setting. The kids are often more playful, they are more cuddly, and sometimes they’ll even bring out some of their favorite toys to show off or document. Those often make some of the best photos..kids at play with their favorite every day toys or stuffed animals. There’s nothing more comfortable than snuggled up on your own couch with mom.
