This winter I got the chance to see my college roommate and her family. Katie often took me home with her to Wichita over breaks since my family lived too far away. Late night talks with Katie and her mom, her brother's football games, and watching funny YouTube videos with her dad were always the highlights of those trips. (Ok, and the homemade meals! Especially her mom's Banana Cream Pudding dessert...yum.) So I was thrilled when the stars aligned and our schedules synced and we were able to fit in a quick visit after Christmas. Katie and her husband were visiting from Washington and I was able to sneak away to see them.
While I was there we fit in a family session. I don't remember exactly how cold it was but I can assure you....it was -40F. Or at least it felt like that...and I'm sure it felt like that to them since they braved most of it without their coats. That is dedication, people. And I love that they did it--it made for some beautiful snowy family photos!
